Job Summary

Home Depot is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Analyst to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Research Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting business decisions through data-driven insights. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth market research, analyzing customer trends, tracking competitive activity, and presenting findings that inform product development, marketing strategies, and operational improvements. This is a critical role that combines analytical rigor with strategic thinking to help Home Depot stay ahead in the ever-evolving retail landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research to support business units and strategic initiatives.
Analyze industry trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities using statistical tools and methodologies.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that summarize research findings and actionable insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Management, and Finance to identify research needs.
Develop and manage surveys, focus groups, and other data collection methods to gather customer feedback.
Interpret complex datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and opportunities.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to leadership.
Support forecasting, pricing strategies, and product lifecycle management with reliable market intelligence.
Stay updated with latest research methodologies, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, SPSS, SAS, or R.
Strong knowledge of research design, data collection, and statistical analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Attention to detail, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

2–4 years of experience in a research analyst, business analyst, or data analyst role, preferably within retail, e-commerce, or a related industry.
Experience with survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey), data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and CRM systems is a plus.
Prior experience working in large corporate environments or with cross-functional project teams is preferred.

Working Hours

Full-Time: 40 hours/week
Monday to Friday
Flexible scheduling options with availability for periodic team meetings or deadlines

Deep understanding of customer segmentation and consumer insights
Analytical mindset with a strong foundation in statistical principles
Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into clear takeaways
Familiarity with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics is beneficial
A proactive, curious mindset with a desire for continuous learning and improvement
