Role & Responsibilities: Help propel your team and its business partners to success. The position will work closely with Canada business clients and collaborate with other legal professionals in the General Counsel's Organization (GCO) to provide legal advice and guidance on marketing initiatives, regulatory matters and strategic relationships. This position will support multiple lines of business, but the primary focus will be in support of the International Card Services (ICS) business unit, supporting consumer card and non-card products and related initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications: LLB or JD Degree. Qualified to practice law in the Province of Ontario, Canada. Relevant legal experience in-house or at a law firm.
At least 3-5 years relevant experience. Preferred qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of the legal field and its intersection with business.
Strong transactional experience and demonstrated capacity to manage strategic negotiations. Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and persuasively, in both written and oral format. Ability to build relationships and partner with others to drive results.
Self-motivated, high level of personal energy and commitment. An ability to prioritize among competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills and strong customer focus.
