Network Administrator
Job Summary
Progressive Technology is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Administrator to join our growing IT team. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, managing, and maintaining both physical and virtual networks to support business operations. Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.

Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

Troubleshoot network issues and outages, providing timely resolution and documentation.

Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity.

Implement and maintain network security protocols and firewalls to protect company data and systems.

Manage network access permissions and configurations for users and devices.

Collaborate with IT teams to integrate and support new systems.

Document network configurations, system logs, and maintenance procedures.

Conduct periodic testing and disaster recovery exercises.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and recommend upgrades or improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).

Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other network equipment vendors.

Knowledge of Windows and Linux-based systems.

Proficient in setting up and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and other security tools.

Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Network Administrator or similar IT infrastructure role.

Experience working with enterprise-level networks is preferred.

Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
Working Hours

Full-Time: 40 hours per week

Flexible scheduling with core hours between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (local time zone)

Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for maintenance and upgrades.
