Maintenance Manager - Mechanical

<p><strong>PURPOSE</strong></p> <p>Manage the effective maintenance of all the machines in the mills to ensure that they are performing efficiently and effectively.</p> <p><strong>THE JOB</strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan and organize preventive maintenance of the relevant machines to ensure maintenance schedules are followed.</li> <li>Work on machine pro-plant generated by pro-plan system.</li> <li>Ensure reduction of downtime to the barest minimum to prevent loss due to machine downtime.</li> <li>Plan and order spare parts and tools for maintenance work to avoid delay due to material availability.</li> <li>Document maintenance records for analysis and future reference.</li> <li>Technical Training and development of technical subordinates to improve performance.</li> <li>Control usage of materials and tools for optimal efficiency of machines.</li> <li>Vet and recommend contract awards for 3rd party maintenance services to ensure compliance to specification.</li> </ul> <p><strong>THE PERSON MUST</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of maintenance management processes, corrosion prevention techniques, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.</li> <li>Analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.</li> <li>Proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.</li> <li>Efficient planning and execution of maintenance schedules.</li> </ul> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical Engineering.</li> </ul> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years’ cognate experience in similar role.</li> </ul>
