Your role

Responsibilities would include:

  • Analyze a demand/request from business stakeholders, with a focus on understanding the business value and associated data to deliver this business value.
  • Transform this request into tasks or responsibilities to deliver data as a product.
  • Help refine epics and stories to ensure data engineers have solid requirements to work against.
  • Understanding multiple data sources and with the help of a Senior Data Analyst putting together a practical and viable data model and data catalog.
  • Assessing the gaps between the prioritized requirements and the current capabilities. Generating possible solution options and, with the use of an agreed set of design principles, selecting the preferred option to move forward.
  • Developing training materials and delivering training to end-users.

  • You will help to analyze and breakdown the problem statement(s), discover requirements, and apply critical reasoning and creative thinking to constructively address business challenges and proposed solution(s).
  • You have the desire and flexibility to work through details with keen attention to accuracy and interdependencies.
  • You bring natural curiosity to understand how things work and why our data and processes function as they do. And you have the desire to comprehend root causes when issues arise.

Communication, interpersonal, and teaming skills

  • You work positively and collaboratively with others and within a team, and you build strong and lasting relationships.

About you

You Bring (Experience & Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. MBA Preferred, but not required
  • Good knowledge of SQL coding and understanding of data modeling.
  • Good knowledge of at least one coding language like Python, Shell Scripting, Java, etc. Python preferred.
  • Preferred: An understanding of ingestion tooling, transformation, and reporting tools like Fivetran, DBT, and Tableau is a plus.
  • Preferred: Should have an understanding of a relational database.
  • Preferred: Should have a basic understanding of cloud framework.
  • Sound analytical skills combined with excellent communication skills
