Digital Designer, Creative Graphic Artist (100% Remote)
<p><span>Peanut Tech Consulting is searching for a Creative Artist to help with the Digital Services segment of our business. This designer would work with our in-house team of Web Designers, helping them create different vectors, graphics, and illustrations for projects we're working on.</span></p><p> </p><p><span>Peanut Tech Consulting (peanuttab.com) provides point-of-sale, website, and digital signage support for restaurants and restaurant groups. Through our partnerships with some technology vendors, we can serve over 100+ established restaurants annually.</span></p><p> </p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><p> <strong>Research & Discovery (40%)</strong></p><p><em>This is a key part of our business. Before creating a design, it is important you understand who you are creating a design for. At Peanut we do not believe in the idea of judging a design without knowing who the design is for. It is important a designer has a great understanding of the brand before putting anything on a Canvas.</em></p><p> </p><ul><li><span>Examining the brand guidelines of restaurants to understand how they portray their brand</span></li><li><span>Understudying previously implemented designs the restaurant has used on their social media and different online channels to be able to understand their vibe & style</span></li><li><span>Researching competitors of restaurants to understand how other competitors portray themselves online/ with their designs</span></li><li><span>Conducting discovery calls with clients to learn more about their needs</span></li><li><span>Facilitating review calls with clients/ restaurant owners to get their feedback on designs</span></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Art & Design (60%)</strong></p><p><em>This is the bulk of the work. Once the artist understands the client they are designing for, they can get on a canvas and start putting a design together.</em></p><ul><li><strong>Artwork;</strong><span> Conceptualizing, drawing, and designing visual assets for website projects and menu boards, including illustrations, website elements, logos, infographics, and more</span></li><li><strong>Fonts;</strong><span> proving web designers with font recommendations for different brands</span></li><li><strong>Color Schematics;</strong><span> selecting color pairings for different designs and helping our web designers pair different fonts on websites</span></li><li><strong>Menu Designs;</strong><span> creating menu designs with high vector graphics and animations, for restaurant menu boards</span></li><li><strong>Video Editing;</strong><span> making minor edits to videos edited by our videography vendors from video shoots, to be used on a restaurant's website.</span></li></ul><p> </p><p> <strong>Preferred Skills/ Ideal Candidate</strong></p><p> <em>Importance: High</em></p><ul><li><span>High command of design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, OmniGraffle, Illustrator, Canva, Sketch or Figma</span></li><li>High visual IQ</li><li>Great attention to detail</li><li>Knowledge of different fonts and type of fonts</li><li>Access to a serene workspace without too much background noise</li><li>Access to a stable power source and backup power source</li></ul><p> </p><p><em>Importance: Medium</em></p><ul><li>3+ years of creative background in graphic design/ illustration/ UI/ UX, any creative or visual arts-related role</li><li><span>Portfolio of work that displays great use of imagery, color, typography, and iconography</span></li></ul><p> </p><p><em>Importance: Not super important but helpful</em></p><ul><li>Any agency experience</li><li><span>Design school degree/ educational background/ certification in Graphic Design/Digital Design/ UI-UX (or equivalent).</span></li><li>Experience in client-facing role</li></ul><p> </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation & Hours</strong></p><p><strong>Hours</strong></p><p><span>Hours are 12 pm to 10 pm daily (with 2 hours of break) except on Nigerian public holidays. Occasional work on weekends (Saturdays) and public holidays will be required.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>We are currently working on piloting a flexible schedule program that would allow each person to set their weekly schedules within certain parameters.</span></p><p> </p><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><p><span> </span></p><p><span>Pay is competitive. This role is also eligible for health insurance, gym membership, and paid time off. We cover up to </span><strong>NGN 20,000</strong><span> broadband internet fees monthly and certain other technology costs upon review and approval.</span></p><p> </p><p><span>Candidates are required to have at least two wifi/ internet networks:</span></p><ul><li><span>A primary broadband or fiber network</span></li><li><span>A backup network, which can include phone data plans like MTN. </span></li></ul><p><span>Both networks </span><strong>must</strong><span> have a minimum download speed of 15 Mbps.</span></p><p> </p><p><strong>Key details</strong></p><ul><li>Location: Our company is 100% remote. You can be based anywhere in Nigeria, although Lagos, and Abuja is preferred because we can facilitate broadband connections in most areas of the city.</li><li>This is a permanent full-time position and not a part-time or freelance position</li><li>Time Off:</li><li>2 weeks paid vacation annually (eligible after first 6 months)</li><li>1 week off during Christmas and New Year celebrations</li></ul><p><br></p><p> </p><p><strong>Hiring Timeline (subject to change) </strong></p><ol><li><span>The job ad would be active on Linkedin/ Indeed till April 21st, 2025.
