Job overview and responsibilities The Developer II plays an important role in creating and maintaining the strategic partnership between business needs and technology delivery. The Developer's role is to plan, design, develop and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues, opportunities or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments. The Developer is experienced and self - sufficient in performing his/her responsibilities requiring little supervision, but general guidance and direction. Software Development: <ul> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Design, develop and modify software applications/systems according to specifications. </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Provides support to the software development leads (Senior Developer) during the design portion of the SDLC </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Ensures that systems are properly integrated. </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Demonstrate mastery in software engineering and exposure to cloud </li> </ul> Collaboration: <ul> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Provides direction, tools, technical and process support to less senior developers </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Consults with Business Analysts and business partners on potential software solutions for business specifications. </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Works with business, support, or development teams recommending system enhancements. </li> </ul> Solution Orientation: <ul> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Consults across multiple United Information Technology projects and technology areas to perform troubleshooting, problem management, root-cause analysis, and solution implementation. </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Assist Senior Developers in technology/project development review and technical assessments </li> </ul> Software Engineering: <ul> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Demonstrate advanced knowledge of software engineering best practices such as: versioning and versioning control, software packaging and software release management </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Demonstrate advanced knowledge of SDLC processes, inputs/outputs, standards and best practices, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the application of development domain areas and specific technologies and tool sets. </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Complete comprehensive unit testing on all developed/enhanced software </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Develop appropriate software documentation </li> </ul> Result Oriented: <ul> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Drive for results; works on one or more moderate to complex projects; may work as a project leader </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Ensures that the technical solutions meet the customers’ business goals. </li> </ul> Keeping abreast: <ul> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Keeps abreast of industry trends through benchmarking, participation in professional associations etc.in order to advise others of strategic technology direction. </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Demonstrate knowledge of application architecture and architecture constructs. </li> </ul> Strategic vs Tactical Vision: <ul> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Collaborates with Senior Developer and Team in implementing enterprise vision and strategy to the project solution while balancing tactical needs to deliver. </li> </ul> </blockquote> This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc. <h2>Qualifications</h2><h3 style="margin-left: 40px; ;font-family: Arial;">What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): </h3> <ul> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems and/or equivalent work experience</li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">4 + years of experience in design, development, documenting, testing, and debugging of new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use</li> <li style="font-family: Arial;"> Excellent hands-on development skills (full stack) including popular JavaScript UI frameworks (e.g.: Angular), .net (Core & MVC) and RDBMS (MS SQL Server); related design patterns/principles/frameworks. </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;"> Understands Technology systems & applications, integration (UI integration to backend APIs, etc.), Component Driven Development </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;"> Exceptional at coding, unit testing and on time delivery of quality components and or applications </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;"> Effective participant of requirement gathering and analysis, prototyping, deployments and release planning/execution </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;"> Effectively and efficiently work with team to deliver on time </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;"> Effective Communication (verbal + written) </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Exhibit written and spoken English fluency</li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship</li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)</li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification</li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position</li> </ul> <h3 style="margin-left: 40px; ;font-family: Arial;">What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):</h3> <ul> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems</li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">6+ years of relevant experience </li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">AWS Cloud</li> <li style="font-family: Arial;">Agile Scrum</li> </ul>
