Cyber Security Engineer
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be entrusted to apply your expertise in developing and implementing high-tech solutions to defend against hacking, malware and ransomware, insider threats and all types of cybercrime across all HabariPay’s platforms. You will serve as our go-to team member for security policies and procedures. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization’s data, systems and networks. • Troubleshooting security and network problems • Responding to all systems and network security breaches • Ensuring that the organization’s data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls. • Participating in the change management process • Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities and implement measures, such as firewalls and encryption. • Daily administrative tasks, reporting and communication with the relevant departments in the organization. • Serve on one or more product teams, using your insights to inform product prioritization and product development. • Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments. • Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of any security breaches. • Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorized or illegal activity. • Design new security systems or upgrade existing ones. • Liaise with stakeholders about cyber security issues and provide future recommendations. • Assist with the creation, maintenance, and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues. Requirements • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Cyber Security engineer • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a technology-related field from a recognized University. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Ability to pay attention to details and be proactive. • Good presentation skills • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • The candidate must be a team player. • Experience in the financial sector preferred
